Liberty Midlands Mall, with more than 160 stores and anchored by leading national retailers, serves residents in the greater Pietermaritzburg area and the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands as ‘Your shopping world in one’.

Since opening its doors in 2003, Liberty Midlands Mall has established itself as the retail destination of choice in the region, being the only regional shopping centre in Pietermaritzburg. The mall has undergone an expansion of 22,000m² which opened for trade on the 15 March 2018. The extended Midlands Mall dubbed the Lifestyle Centre, offers over 200 stores of retail and leisure space. The development is approximately 90% let and provides consumers with a second grocery offering being Checkers, a significantly enlarged Woolworths and a Planet Fitness. The parking area has also been expanded, accommodating over 3,000 vehicles.
