Vishal began his career at Sasol in 2015 as an Engineer-In-Training. In 2018, he was appointed in the Data and Analytics team at Sasol as an Operations Researcher, working on decision support projects through simulation modelling. Vishal made a change in late 2018 to join the JHI Retail team as the National Building Services Manager where he was responsible for the entire IT offering of the Liberty 2 Degrees portfolio and a host of other operational activities in the business. He made the move to join Liberty Two Degrees as the Business Manager in the Chief Executive Office in October 2020.

Zweli started his work experience with Deloitte in 2015 as a junior consultant in the Risk Advisory team. He then moved to Meago Asset Management as an investment analyst in the listed property sector, where he honed his skills in financial and quantitative modelling and portfolio analysis. Zweli’s quest for a holistic view to property led him to Liberty Two Degrees, where he joined in June 2018 and is responsible for monitoring the performance of the portfolio, analysing trading patterns against budgets and benchmarks, as well as compiling statistical and other reports to support recommendations to Asset Managers, and for benchmarking purposes.

Imogen started her work experience as a graduate in the BP Downstream Graduate Program in 2012 where she gained experience within the Property Network Department, moving into her role within BP as New Business Property Developer in 2015. She then joined JHI Retail in 2017 as a Property Financial Analyst, working and gaining retail experience across the JHI property managed portfolios. Imogen’s drive to continuous learning and self-development led her to Liberty 2 Degrees in October 2018, where she joined the REIT’s Finance team as a Property Financial Analyst. Her responsibilities include monitoring the performance of the assets within the portfolio, analysing trading, retailer and other associated data by collecting and scrutinising trends as well as compiling statistical and other reports, supporting the asset management team.

Saadiyah joined Liberty Two Degrees in July 2018 as a Valuation Manager. Her previous role at JLL involved undertaking a range of property valuation and advisory services for purchase and sale, decision making, due diligence exercises, private placements on the JSE as well as shareholder reporting for REITs in South Africa. Prior to that, Saadiyah worked at Nedbank CIB Property Finance where she undertook valuations for loan security purposes. Her extensive experience in the property industry spans over seven years which includes commercial, retail, industrial, residential, specialised, hotels and development land. Saadiyah is a member of the RICS, a RICS Registered Valuer and a registered Professional Associate Valuer with the SACPVP.
BSc. QS HONS (UFS)
Melinda joined L2D in July 2018 as a Development Manager where she is responsible for managing property developments across the L2D profile. Melinda’s career spans 12 years in the property industry and has extensive experience in retail, hotel and office projects. Prior to joining L2D, Melinda served her 12 tenure at MLC Quantity Surveyors as an Associate.

Serake joined STANLIB in 2014 as a Fund Accountant. In March 2016, he became a Maitland Senior Fund Accountant supporting STANLIB. Serake joined Liberty Two Degrees in August 2017 as a Financial Administrator. In July 2018 he was appointed as a Development Analyst where he is responsible for managing property developments across the L2D portfolio.
His role includes ensuring project feasibility and engagements with several L2D stakeholders including property co-owners and property professionals.
LLB (UKZN – Howard College)
Haseena joined Liberty Two Degrees in November 2018 as a legal advisor. She previously worked as an attorney for 7 years at Webber Wentzel where she obtained extensive experience in corporate, commercial and property law.
Her role at Liberty Two Degrees entails providing legal support to the property portfolio owned by Liberty Two Degrees and Liberty Group Limited.

Lerato’s career spans 10 years in the fields of Investor Relations and Communications where her first stint in the field was at a business communications consultancy. Lerato joined the Investor Relations division at Liberty Holdings in 2014 and has since been instrumental in her capacity as Investor Relations Manager in various transactions across the group both locally and in the rest of Africa.
Lerato joined Liberty Two Degrees in April 2018 as Communications Manager. She manages all the company’s communications, including L2D’s communication to the Liberty Real Estate Portfolio investors.
Linda drives the financial management process at Liberty Two Degrees and takes financial control of all development projects. Her knowledge of financial management cemented her 28-year career, during which she was involved in Property Administration as well as due diligence investigations for Cape Town’s most renowned retail centres such as Canal Walk and the V&A Waterfront.

Tirya completed her SAICA articles at EY in 2017. Her portfolio at EY consisted of clients in the construction, manufacturing and bio-medical technology industry. She was subsequently seconded to the USA as an Audit Senior and upon her return, she joined Liberty Two Degrees in July 2018 and commenced her role as Financial Accountant. Her responsibilities include monthly management accounting and reporting.
Business Manager, Chief Operations Officer
Zandile has vast experience in the Property industry. Her overall experience includes conceptualization and presentation of marketing strategies, brand experiences for internal and external stakeholders, events management, digital marketing management and management of conferences – SAPOA, SACSC (annually), to mention a few. Collectively she has over 8 years’ experience as a marketer. She has joined L2D as a Business Manager to the COO where she will focus on research, analysis and presentation of key performance and business information in order to drive well-informed and value-enhancing decisions.
Bcom Industrial Psychology (UJ)
Sonia Hlahla is the Human Specialist for Liberty Two Degrees. She holds a Bcom Industrial Psychology degree from the University of Johannesburg. She joined the Liberty Two Degrees Human Capital team in January 2019, prior to that she was with the STANLIB HR team. Her role is to deliver efficient & effective Human Capital service to line managers and employees across Liberty Two Degrees in accordance with policies and procedures.
Executive Assistant | CEO Office
Lisa joined the Liberty Two Degrees in August 2018. She brings over 13 years’ experience with expertise in office administration and office management, whilst assisting with scheduling and coordinating many schedules for the Liberty Two Executive Office and Board members.
Prior to joining the world of Property, Lisa joined us from the Banking Industry.

Noluthando is the Financial Administrator at Liberty Two Degrees. She joined the company in August 2017 and her role includes liaising with vendors for payment and providing support/assistance for the Financial team.
Guest Relations Manager

Zelna is the Guest Services Manager at Liberty Two Degrees. She is in charge of welcoming visitors and making them feel comfortable. Her role includes assisting in the effectiveness and smooth running of the office.
LLB degree (currently studying – 2nd year level)
Buhle is a Guest Services Specialist at Liberty Two Degrees, her role is to welcome visitors and handle queries with the utmost care. Buhle assists the L2D team by managing the phone line as well as the day to day administration for the company’s leadership team.
