Angus has 37 years’ experience in both commercial directorship and professional corporate governance. Throughout his career, Angus had succeeded at some of the biggest names in South African Corporate Businesses.

From 1980 to 1995, Angus became the Commercial Director at PG Bison Ltd. Thereafter he spent two years as Telkom Ltd.’s Chief Financial Officer. He then went on to become the Group CEO of Anglovaal Industries Ltd. The last decade, since 2005, has seen Angus as both Aveng Limited’s Chairman of the Board and Liberty Holdings Limited’s Non-Executive Director.

Angus was appointed as the Non-Executive, Independent Chairman of Liberty Two Degrees on 26 July 2017.

Brian is a successful businessman having established Propertiq (Pty) Ltd and previously Capstone Property Group where he was a Managing Director, shareholder and active partner.

He previously served on the board of Dipula Property Fund Limited where he has been a director since 2006. Brian has extensive property industry experience spanning 31 years.  He was previously an Executive Director at Redefine Properties Limited and CEO of Redefine Income Fund Limited, and prior to that where he was responsible for the merger of Redefine, ApexHi and Madison Property Fund Managers. Brian has held various senior positions at Anglo American Properties, Investec Bank, JHI, Olympia & York Developments in Canada and Excel Computers in the USA.

Brian was appointed to the Liberty Two Degrees Board in 1 August 2018.

Wolf has 48 years’ experience in South African property investment, development and asset and property management. He spent 24 years with Liberty Properties Proprietary Limited, the last 17 of which as CEO, from which he retired in 2000. From 2000 to 2010, Wolf was involved in the formation and / or growth, and served as a Director of the following listed South African Property Funds: Madison Property Fund Managers Limited, ApexHi Properties Limited, Hyprop Investments Limited and Redefine Properties Limited.

Wolf was appointed as a Director of the Manager on 17 June 2016.

Lynette is the CEO of Innate Investment Solutions. She previously held senior leadership positions within the commercial, development and investor spheres of the property, trade, and investment sector. Sitting on various executive committees and working groups, Lynette has a valuable 13 years’ experience in related organisations. Passionate about youth development and leadership, Lynette is a Founding Director and Chairman of IgniteSA.com.

She is actively involved at an executive and member level within various organisations including the South African Institute of Black Property Practitioners, Women’s Property Network, South African Property Owners Association, the South African Council of Shopping Centres, International Women’s Forum and the Institute of Directors SA. Lynette also sits on the boards of First National Bank Advisory, Africa Ignite and Maris Stella School.

Lynette was appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Liberty Two Degrees on 26 July 2017.

Zaida is currently a Finance Executive at Oceana Group Limited responsible for both investor and media relations. Prior to joining Oceana, Zaida served her tenure as a Credit Originator at LibFin, Liberty’s centre of excellence for the management of Liberty Group’s market, credit and liquidity risks, as well as the management of its shareholder investment exposures. Zaida was also a Portfolio Manager at Chayton Africa (Pty) Ltd, responsible for making investment decisions for the fund.

Zaida has vast property industry experience having served on the board of SA Corporate Real Estate Fund as a Finance Director. She was also a Finance Manager at Allan Gray Property Trust.

Zaida was appointed to the Liberty Two Degrees Board in 1 August 2018.

Amelia has 20 years’ experience in the property sector, initially established at Old Mutual Property in various positions before exiting her role as the Chief Operating Officer.

She joined STANLIB in 2012 to establish the STANLIB Direct Property Investment business, including property asset management and property development management.

Apart from her role at STANLIB, Amelia served as President of the South African Property Association (SAPOA) from 2014 to 2015. She is also a past Chairperson of Women’s Property Network and served as a trustee for the Education trusts of WPN and SAPOA until 2018.

Amelia assumed the role of Chief Executive of Liberty Two Degrees since its listing in December 2016.

Today, Liberty Two Degrees has an undivided share in South Africa’s most iconic shopping centres namely, Sandton City, Nelson Mandela Square, Eastgate Shopping Centre and Melrose Arch among many others across the country.

José is a Chartered Accountant and a proficient deal maker. He was appointed as the Financial Director of Liberty Two Degrees in March 2017. In this role, José is responsible for financial risk management, investment analysis and the capital structure of the REIT in addition to financial planning and record keeping. Before joining Liberty Two Degrees, José was a dealmaker in the Real Estate Investment Banking Division of Rand Merchant Bank where he was responsible for originating and implementing various transactions in the property sector.

José completed articles at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he serviced clients in the financial services industry with a specific focus on structured finance. Outside of the office, José is an endurance sports enthusiast and enjoys spending time with his family.

José was appointed as a Director of the Manager on 23 March 2017 following the approval by the Financial Services Board (FSB).

Jonathan is responsible for two of South Africa’s most iconic names in retail, Sandton City and Nelson Mandela Square. With a successful 20 years in the property industry, Jonathan has gained wide-ranging experience at some of the most well-known companies in South Africa and the United Kingdom. From 2005 to 2013 Jonathan worked as a Development Manager at Group Five and Absa Property Development before moving to STANLIB in 2013 to become an Asset Manager.

Jonathan was appointed as an Asset Management Executive at Liberty Two Degrees in 2016, where he remains focused on growing the two iconic assets in the property portfolio. Jonathan’s key goal is to achieve optimum results for our unit holders and finds his passion through delivering top-standard outcomes

Steph has a track record spanning over 30 years in Human Resource Management with expertise in talent acquisition, change management, leadership development, performance evaluation, talent management and retention. She is a qualified coach and is skilled in strategically partnering with the organisation and providing the necessary tools, training, coaching, and oversight that the organisation needs for successful operation in building the employee value proposition.  

Steph joined Liberty Two Degrees in January 2017 as the Human Resources Business Partner. Her role at L2D entails strategically encouraging participation and engagement, providing insight and direction, leadership development, talent management and honest support to ensure optimal business performance. Steph has also worked with some of the biggest names in retail such as Makro and Massmart.

She enjoys spending time with her family and is happiest in the bush and wide open spaces.
