Liberty Two Degrees (L2D) was reconstituted as a corporate REIT as Liberty Two Degrees Limited (Registration number 2018/388906/06) with effect from 1 November 2018.
L2D constantly aims to focus on improving the quality of our assets positioned to enhance growth and maintain the robust nature of the portfolio’s assets through unique innovations and experiences that make the asset dominant in their precincts and most importantly cater to customers’ needs.
We are passionate about providing customers with distinct shopping experiences that benefit our customers by making our malls an attractive and preferred destination in the retail sector.
The Liberty Two Degrees portfolio is a South African precinct focused, retail centred REIT with stakes in the following assets:
- Johannesburg (Sandton City, Eastgate Complex and Nelson Mandela Square),
- Cape Town (Liberty Promenade Mitchells Plain),
- KZN Midlands (Liberty Midlands Mall) and
- Bloemfontein (Botshabelo Mall).
- It also includes interests in the mixed-use precinct of Melrose Arch.
The portfolio also includes the John Ross Eco-Junction where the Melomed hospital and other development opportunities will provide diversification and higher yield opportunities as well as undivided shares in the Sandton Sun Hotel, the InterContinental Sandton Towers and the Garden Court Sandton City.
